In this workshop, students will get to create their own heart-shaped pendant out of stone, just in time for Valentine's Day! Workshop attendees will learn to carve soapstone using hand tools such as chisels, rasps, and files. This workshop is beginner-friendly and requires no prior experience.

About the Instructor: Emma Levitz is a stone carver and visual artist behind Little Mountain Stonework’s based in Cookeville, Tennessee. She received her BFA in Sculpture from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2016 and has been carving stone for the past eight years. She works primarily with marble, limestone, and soapstone to create both functional carvings for the home as well as sculptures and relief carvings.
